Diana Rogalle, Principal

Diana Rogalle has been a leading Democratic political fundraiser and operative for nearly fifteen years. Consulting on federal and non-federal races across the nation, Ms. Rogalle has played a key role in Democratic campaigns during each of the past seven consecutive election cycles. Her relationships extend across America’s financial, entertainment, business, activist, and philanthropic communities, and her management expertise has earned her a reputation among the most elite in her field. In March 2005, Ms. Rogalle formed The Ashmead Group, a political fundraising and strategy consulting firm based in Washington, DC. Her clients include several progressive organizations, Democratic Party Committees, and political candidates.

Ms Rogalle’s recent experience includes leading the fundraising efforts for Victory Campaign 2004 – the joint fundraising committee of America Coming Together and The Media Fund. As finance director Ms. Rogalle managed a team of 25 staff and consultants who raised more than $205 million for the Democratic party’s preeminent “527” committee. ACT and The Media Fund are widely credited for visionary and historic ground and air operations – efforts that unquestionably contributed to the closeness of the 2004 presidential contest.

Prior to joining ACT and The Media Fund, Ms. Rogalle served as national finance director for the Wes Clark for President Campaign. Beginning in September 2003, Ms. Rogalle designed and managed General Clark’s meteoric fundraising operation throughout his six-month presidential primary run. General Clark’s Little Rock based finance operation raised more than $17 million in individual contributions.

Ms. Rogalle’s previous experience included over four years at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. In January, 1999 Ms. Rogalle joined the committee as the director of the joint fundraising efforts between the DSCC and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Later that cycle, serving as director of campaign services, Ms. Rogalle counseled Democratic incumbents and contenders on the drafting, implementation and execution of their state and national finance plans. Ms. Rogalle concluded her tenure at the DSCC in April of 2003 after serving two years as the committee’s finance director. As the top fundraiser for the DSCC, Ms. Rogalle worked directly for Senators Patty Murray (D-WA) and Jon Corzine (D-NJ) in their efforts as chair of the committee to claim U.S. Senate seats in the 2002 and 2004 cycles respectively.

Ms. Rogalle served as a senior adviser to California Lieutenant Governor Cruz Bustamante in his 2003 gubernatorial campaign against Arnold Schwarzenagger. She managed the fundraising efforts for Senator Byron Dorgan’s (D-ND) 1998 reelection campaign as well as Tom Strickland’s 1996 campaign for U.S. Senator in Colorado.

Ms. Rogalle earned her B.A. in political science and communications from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1990. She and her husband live in Washington, DC.
